The PuXuan Hotel and Spa, Beijing
A hand-picked boutique retreat
The PuXuan Hotel and Spa is a contemporary luxury hotel in Beijing's Guardian Art Center — a Büro Ole Scheeren building at the top of Wangfujing, a short, flat walk from the Forbidden City's east gate and Jingshan Park. Calm, design-led interiors, a spa and pool, and upper floors that look out to Jingshan and the palace rooftops make it the choice for travellers who prefer modern luxury to a traditional grand hotel. Opened 2018.

Inside it is calm and design-led — warm timber, sliding screens and a resort-like quiet in the heart of the capital. It's at 1 Wangfujing Street in Dongcheng, inside the Guardian Art Center at the top of Wangfujing in central Beijing. The Forbidden City's east gate and Jingshan Park are a short, flat walk away, so the imperial core is reached on foot rather than by car.
